Background & Credentials:
Olivia Hutul, MD was born in Chicago, Illinois. She attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with university honors. Her interest in pursuing a career in medicine began in early childhood and was further ignited by time spent volunteering in the postpartum ward of her local hospital and shadowing a seasoned physician. She attended Vanderbilt University Medical School in Nashville, Tennessee where she completed her MD. Subsequently, she completed her internship and residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she remained for eight years thereafter as a full spectrum OB/Gyn caring for patients and teaching medical students and residents. During her time in Nashville, she received awards and recognition for excellence in patient care. A professional opportunity for her husband and a love of the mountains and outdoors ultimately brought her to Colorado. She cared for patients at the University of Colorado Anschutz and began a course of study in Functional Medicine, seeking a wider toolbox to address chronic illness affecting women. She also completed a coaching certification program to broaden her knowledge and awareness of interventions to promote mental health. Combining her Functional Medicine training, coaching background, and over a decade of experience caring for women in a university setting, she seeks to bring a more holistic approach to patient care that acknowledges the whole person. She lives in Denver with her beloved husband and son.
