Chronic Infection and Biotoxin Management: The concepts of chronic infection and toxic burden are familiar to any Functional Medicine practitioner. But effective management of more severe and treatment-refractory cases often requires a deeper dive into more challenging and controversial territory. We think that the popular terms “Lyme” and “Mold” are limiting so we like to use the term “complex care team” to refer to this part of the practice.
In our experience, effective and cost-efficient treatment for chronic infections often involves a combination of prescription medications and botanical agents with antimicrobial properties. We utilize Autonomic Response Testing (ART) as a diagnostic tool. ART helps identify difficult-to-diagnose microbes and provides insight into the most effective and well-tolerated interventions for each patient. Please note that ART sessions are not billable to insurance; however, the first ART session is complimentary.
Our services for the diagnosis and treatment of tick-borne and mold-related diseases in Denver are provided by Shawn Naylor, DO and Shauntae Murphy, PA-C.
