Hacking Your Daily Hydration Goals

Bestie! It’s been HOT okay!? So like, water you doing about the hydration your body needs? I mean BESIDES H2o? Let’s face it, we all know sometimes our body is like, “I need more than this liquid gold we call agua.” It’s craving something called ELECTROLYTES (sodium, potassium, and magnesium) and or PROTEIN. Fuel that body UP! Avoid passing out or something more serious at all costs. Please, friend! So, let’s get to the “why” of this lil article we’ve got going on here.
Hydrating Foods: Below are some examples of delicious foods containing a higher percentage of water.
Cucumbers – 96%
Celery – 95%
Radishes – 95%
Tomatoes – 94%
Zucchini and Summer Squash – 94%
Bell peppers – 92%
Cabbage – 92%
Cauliflower – 92%
Strawberries – 92%
Watermelon – 92%
Spinach – 92%
Peaches = 89%
Heat Friendly Foods: Here are some light, easy-to-digest, and chilled protein sources to avoid feeling sluggish and overheated. These grams of protein are each totalling 1 cup.
Salmon – 40g
Shrimp – 24g
Greek Yogurt – 17g
Edemame – 17g
Chickpeas – 39g
Black Beans – 15g
Protein Smoothies – this depends on your concoction
ELECTROLYTE UP! : So all of this is obviously optional but I must admit, I do love some electrolytes. Especially on a day that I just feel overly drained. #1 ULTIMA – I drink these dailyyyyy! Love, love, love and are my favorite when fasting. I usually just add a pinch Celtic Salt for flavor and health purposes.
#2 LMNT – I do enjoy these once in a while. No need to add salt since most of them already have that ingredient.
#3 Liquid I.V – Good ol trusty liquid I.V. You can find these everywhere. Good flavors, good hydration.
