Stay Season Winter Edition

November 26, 2025

Written By: Sound Clinic Monica

It’s winter! It’s SUPPOSED TO BE cold, gloomy and snowy! Denver just seems to be a bit behind hehe. I’m sure you’ve been wracking your noggin asking yourself, “How do I stay active during these freezing, treacherous temperatures!?” or maybe you’d rather be cozied up like a burrito in your big giant blankets like the Homer Simpson meme. I get it but let me be the one to tell you, it’s so worth it to step outside or out but indoors, ehh 6,7. Let’s call this season the “STAY SEASON” and no, not the stay inside season. The Stay Active, Stay Connected and Stay Smiling season!

(All recommendations below are from a girly pop that’s NOT a Doctor, so PLEASE ask a provider if these workouts and “staying active” tips are okay for you to do)

Stay Active:

  • Snow activities! My good friend ChatGPT recommended the most popular winter sports in Colorado.

1. Snowboarding

2. Skiing

3. Ice skating

  • Neighborhood Snow Helper. Shovel a neighbor’s drive way!

This will not only keep you active but it’ll for sure get you on Santa’s nice list! Trust me, I tested it out myself. I received double the amount of socks last year!

  • Home workouts!

I’ll recommend the workout videos I’ve grown to be absolutely in love with!

  1. Taebo with Billy Blanks! There are beginner and advanced difficulty levels. Some videos focus on strength, abs or cardio. I highly recommend working out to these videos when you’d prefer to stay inside.
  2. Lucia Mendez – Ponte En forma translation Get In Shape.  It is in Spanish! However, I highly recommend it. Fully body workout at a slower pace but keeps the body moving!

Stay Connected:

  • Join a walking club!

New adventures, new friends, new steps, new vibes.

  • Join a new gym class!

Get your lil hips movin’ with Zumbaaa! Exercise a zen mind with Yoga. or maybe!!!! Start climbing! Ice climbing!

Stay Smiling:

  • Spend time with your loved ones. Quality time always leads to some good belly laughs. Fun fact studies show that it improves cardiovascular health, reduces stress/anxiety and provides a mild workout.
